EfeOghene Donald Idu, popularly known as Mac Roc, is a Nigerian-born music producer, A&R, talent developer, scout, and coach, as well as a skilled mixing and mastering engineer. Born in Ughelli North, Delta State, Mac Roc's passion for music began at an early age, starting as a keyboardist in his local church in 2004 under the guidance of his mother. His talent and dedication soon led him to venture into directing bands, choirs, and working closely with artists, contributing to their artistic growth.
Having pursued his education in Computer Science at Benson Idahosa University in Benin City, Edo State, Mac Roc combines his technical expertise with his artistic prowess. His multifaceted skills have earned him a solid reputation within the music industry, both in Nigeria and internationally.
Throughout his career, Mac Roc has collaborated with a wide array of acclaimed artists, showcasing his production abilities and contributing to their success. His notable collaborations include Samsong, Eben, Johnny Drill, Ric Hassani, Waje, Timi Dakolo, Kenny Blaq, Oxlade, Fiokee, Skales, and many other superstars in the global music industry.
A milestone achievement in Mac Roc’s journey is the creation of the renowned Mac Roc Sessions. These world-class acoustic music sessions have gained international recognition, featuring talented artists in unplugged performances that captivate audiences worldwide. Through these acoustic music sessions, Mac Roc has provided a stage for both established and emerging artists, including Oxlade, Sunmisola Agbebi, Lade, Timi Dakolo, Naomi Mac, and many others.
